Who Are We?

There is little about Haunani Kekuna and Peggy Palmiter that seem to suggest we would become close friends. I am a PhD in Social Work, she is an accomplished Engineer. I was in Washington, DC, she was outside Philadelphia, PA. She approaches issues thoughtfully, methodically and with laser-like focus. I approach issues as a process, producing feelings, context and unlimited options. These characteristics don’t sound like a recipe for a fierce and committed friendship. But that’s exactly what we have.

We met and built our relationship as business owners, each with a Motophoto franchise in two different states. Through all of our learnings, challenges, successes and disappointments, we support each other with information, suggestions, resources and strong shoulders. We often involve our families in that support. It is with gratitude that I watched Haunani’s husband Paul added his brain and brawn to my recent move to Atlanta.

So it seemed appropriate that we offer you two bio pages, one for me and one for Haunani. You will find us quite different, but perhaps you will also see the threads that bind us.
